Time-lapse of Macbook Pro A1707 15“ Disassembly and Reassembly

In this video one of our skilled technicians in our Oxford based office was tasked to disassemble the internal components of a Apple Macbook Pro A1707 15″ as it was running very hot, consistently. We first started by removing all components that were removable via screws and cleaned the components individually using compressed air, a lint free cloth and isopropyl alcohol. After removing all the components and cleaning them of any excess dust and checking over any soldering work, we then reassemble the Macbook Pro and test the machine extensively so we can be sure this issue does not reoccur.

For this, our technician was tasked with repairing a clients Acer R721T Chromebook. This was suffering massive spikes of heat within the processor and would slow down to almost a halt, we firstly had to take the chromebook apart to get to the processor chip and remove the heatsink covering it. Once this had been done we re-applied a moderate amount of thermal paste to the chromebooks processor and started the process of putting the chromebook back together so we can perform stress tests and test for any other issues that could arise.
